Coney Island downtown is closing, not Milwaukee Wiener House.
I hadn’t been since I was 12. Used to go every Saturday with my G-Pa. 42 years later, it did not disappoint. New location, new peeps behind the counter(no longer Tom or Gus wearing their awesome hats) but the feeling was the same. A genuine greet, banter with the regulars....brought back so many great memories. And still the best dogs on the planet♥️
It's a must stop if you're driving through Sioux City Iowa incredible eats family-owned restaurant fantastic
Been going there for 50 years, atleast allways great they are now at there 3rd location in the last 53 years
A Sioux City staple. Either you love it or you just don't get it.
Good atmosphere. Great place for a quick bite and a few suds. Loved it, not alot of places that specializes in hotdogs.
Awesome food and the staff are friendly.
I went for one Weiner but I ordered two. What a crazy day!
Average at best I have had a better chilli cheese weiners at DQ...Really you don't even have a website...The staff was beyond perfect...But the food was completely garbage for what we paid...Avoid at all cost please
Good place to take family for a quick bite to eat
No nonsense. Delicious Dogs. Great Value. That's all you need to know. It's tasty.
If you are new to Sioux City this is a must stop iconic place to visit! Family owned and great food and history!
Awesome hot dogs! Great service! Always clean! Must have if in Sioux city. Family business.
Perfect for those who want to eat and cant make cook themselves.
I've been going to this place since high school. I miss the old building. :( the kids love it when I take them here. Always friendly. Must stop and have. Yes the hot dogs are pricey but well worth it.
Food was great, service outstanding. For me it is the nostalgia thou. So many really good restaurants thrived downtown while I was grown up. Sadly they are all gone. Grateful for this piece of history.
Great local legendary hotdogs! Consistent food. Good staff.
Awesome place, people and service. Best chili cheese dog in Iowa.
Great landmark restaurant! Best chili dogs and bowl of chili I've ever had! And very friendly staff!
Always friendly and always great
Today was the first time I ever tried this restaurant and I was NOT disappointed. The guy was very friendly and sweet. A young lady walking came up and asked for a cup of water bc she was thirsty and the gentleman gave her a bottle of water at NO CHARGE!!!! Now on to the food...amazing chili cheese dogs. Definitely will be stopping the next time I'm in Souix City.
Good hotdogs
When you’re in Sioux City a hot dog is a must. Milwaukee wiener just celebrated 100 years in Sioux City. Family owned every one of those years. People who move away make a trip there part of their time back home. Our server was very friendly, even taking time to tell us a little bit of the history behind the Milwaukee Wiener House. The prices are a little high for what you get. $2.55 for a 16 oz bottle of pop. The food did taste good.
Good Dogs from nice people
Great place. Driven past it lots never stopped glad I did. I had the dog with everything on it
It was good food, with an old school diner feel.
Would get another star if either the hot dog was as big as the bun or the bun was as small as the hot dog.
Always an amazing experience. Everyone that works here is very friendly.
If u like simple gd weiners..this is the place
Small hot dogs and huge buns. Expensive. 3.50$ for one small hot dog
Blown away at how cheaply made these hot dogs were. These were Sam's club hot dogs, in store bought buns. The chili had no flavor. The prices were very cheap and customer service was good at least. I liked the vintage Hamm's beer signs. There is nothing unique about this places food though. There was absolutely no difference in these hot dogs than, me at home boiling some an throwing a few onions on it.
I love this place for a quick lunch. Friendly customer service. Very good food, reasonable prices. I enjoy a regular chili dog as well as the bow wows which include 2 hot dogs.
Really good. Very friendly customer service
Now living in Oregon, every time I revisit that area I always hit this place. The new location is easily accessible and parking can be a problem during rush hours but the food and service always has been and still is fantastic. I love this place and wish theyd expand into Oregon!
I love that Sioux City has wiener houses. I cannot find them in the South anywhere. They have hot dogs, but not conies. I ate here twice while back in my home town visiting my dad. I love the steamed soft buns, runny chili, onion bits and swipe of mustard. The grilled hot dog in the middle of it all is awesome. If the conies are not enough to win you over, the people working here are phenomenal. They smile, engage and make you feel welcome. On my second visit, my daughter wanted to Facetime to watch the process. The employees were happy to waive hello, show the process of putting the hot dogs together and say hi to my daughter.I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! There's a reason it has lasted 100 years.
Love their hot dogs great friendly people
Good atmosphere and local favorite. Good customer service and always see a smile on those serving or eating. A must stop every now and again.
Wanted it to be better. This was my 2nd visit. Dogs are ok, buns are genetic, options are limited. Not like the good old days hot dog joint
Always really friendly service, and great, well priced, food.
Always love going there good hotdogs guys
Great food good options 5 out of 5
After 100 years it's time to quit business. It was horrible and overpriced. People say the buns are so nice and moist. That is true. Mine and Lisa's buns were moist to the point of soggy. I had a chili cheese dog. The dog is one of the lowest quality dogs I have ever not tasted. It had no taste at all. They also had been setting on the grill for I don't know how long but they were barely more than cold. The cheese was sparse and the chilly was so thin and had no meat in it soup would have been thicker. I had onions which are just plain yellow onions chopped. All this for $2.55. Lisa got a Barker that is a hotdog with sauerkraut and plain low quality mustard for $2.30. We both got chips, $1.30 each, and a beer, $4.00 each for a total of $16.91. The only thing that we experienced that most people liked was the service was excellent. With that said we would not eat there again and we are apprehensive about having hotdogs for a long time to come.
Very small dogs with NO flavor
Best place ever for a hot dog!!! I came here everytime I'm in town!!! Staff is so nice!!!
Their plain cheeseburgers are decent. Too little meat in them, but the meat and the bun are both good. I just wish there was a double patty option or something like that. Their hot dogs however are not very good... Which is strange for a wiener house. Nice people though. The pies are pretty good too.
A little pricey for the amount of food you get but the chili dogs are always top notch and the staff is friendly. This is my first time back since they got the new building but it still feels kind of like a well worn in family place with a diner atmosphere.
Great place to get some chilli dogs!
The best service ever! And the food, is fantastic.
A great place for lunch!
Good food. Good prices. Limited menu, but you know what your there for so, not really an issue. Could still use a little more seating, but generally works out fine.
Dine in was good, staff was very polite. Food was average. I would go there again
